ARJIS is a Joint Powers Agency (JPA) under the California Government Code, and
provides a regional criminal justice enterprise information system.
All municipalities in the county, as well as the County of San Diego, are
member agencies of ARJIS, and their representative law enforcement agencies
participate in ARJIS both in terms of usage and in representation on User,
Technical, and Management committees. Members of ARJIS and their representative
law enforcement agencies are:
| San Diego Sheriff's Department (SDSO) | |
| City of Del Mar | City of San Marcos |
| City of Encinitas | City of Santee |
| City of Imperial Beach | City of Solana Beach |
| City of Lemon Grove | City of Vista |
| City of Poway | |
| Unincorporated Areas of San Diego County | |
ARJIS is governed by a Board of Directors, consisting of the Mayor or a Councilmember from each incorporated city in San Diego County and a member of the County Board of Supervisors. Routine direction is set by and received from the ARJIS Management Committee, comprised of each of the police chiefs in the county and the Sheriff, or their designees, and high ranking officials from the ex officio agencies. User and Technical Committees consist of representatives from each participating police department.
